Eligibility Incháilitheacht *

Applicants must satisfy the eligibility criteria as set out in Circular Number 0019/2026 - Concurrent Initial Teacher Education Bursary Scheme (STEM Bursary), including be registered in 3rd year for 2025/26 in a 4 year programme (or 4th year in a 5 year programme)  in certain STEM undergraduate initial teacher education programmes and both years subsequently, agree to register with the Teaching Council under Route 2, undertake a minimum period of teaching service in approved teaching posts in one or more recognised post-primary schools and agree to a clawback of the bursary payments if the scheme criteria is not met.
